Period of Grace Until The Divine Intervention
PERIOD OF GRACE UNTIL THE DIVINE INTERVENTION. ...
It will still take a little while before God will visibly manifest Himself, before the cycle is completed, before the hour has come when the extent of human atrocities has gone too far. Yet it will not be a long period of time, you humans are given only a very brief period of grace in order to distance
yourselves from those behaving disgracefully before God because they violate their fellow human being in a most ruthless way….
However, God allows it to come to the worst so that people will still learn to recognise which way they are heading.... For only this realisation will motivate them to change. Every day is important as for many people it is the last one, it can be decisive for the whole of eternity, but many others will only have a few days left until their temporal end has come, and this is why
God still hesitates although the event is inevitable and His plan has been determined from the beginning. However, people’s low level gave rise to it much sooner, their heartlessness made the day overdue before its time, so that every day is a gift of grace by God bestowed upon humanity by His forbearance and mercy. And thus every day can still be utilised and offers many people the opportunity to change, if only they are of good will.
Therefore they are constantly informed of the divine intervention, both through His Word as well as through people’s exchange of ideas who are mentally advised from above about the forthcoming event. Everyone can form an opinion about that which is imparted to him, everyone can think about the events in the world as well as the end of it, and the thought of a supernatural intervention in world events will not just occur to a few, and then a person will
still be able to hold himself to account regarding his attitude towards good and evil.
Every human being will be warned, directly and indirectly, and if he heeds the warning he will be able to derive benefit for his soul. For then he will also recognise the divine intervention as such, he will learn to believe and be saved, even if he loses his earthly life. And because God still wants to open people’s ears for His call He will not sound His voice prematurely…. Yet
the designated period of time cannot be exceeded according to divine order…. And people should assume that every day is the announced one when He reveals Himself and His Power. For what He has proclaimed will happen without fail, God merely keeps the time concealed. Yet the day will come like a thief in the night…. unexpectedly and causing a large amount of material damage…. And only someone whose heart no longer clings to earthly goods, who has united himself with God and knows himself always and forever protected by Him will not be fearful. These, however, are
instructed by Him to constantly refer people to the fact that He will manifest Himself, and to admonish them to choose the right path which leads to Him, so that they, too, will take refuge in Him in the hour of affliction and find protection and help in Him…. Amen

PREFACE
I was talking with Richard Ostlund, defense attorney, and he said, "My client has no ill feelings toward you". Good thing that wasn't under oath, because it would be perjury.
You see, James Randi hates my guts. He thinks the Game of Life, which keeps phenomenons at bay, is working for he and the mob, when in fact, it's working for me. It's my show, although he thinks it's his. James Randi has godly powers (he's a magician), but he's playing a huge con game, convincing people there's nothing paranormal going on, when in fact, James himself has my godly powers.
That's why I can't rely on James Randi to judge this challenge. I have to rely on an official judge, on an offer I have accepted, to judge this challenge because James Randi is a fraud running a paranormal con game. His Paranormal challenge is actually a freak intake, so he can find people with special abilities, and hide them, compensate them, to put them to good use in the underground mob network, designed to profit off hidden godly powers being used throughout the planet. This is all in a well-organized quest to keep money out of the pockets of Chris Roller, who he knows, is the source of those powers. If you watch Smallville TV series, it's similar to Lex Luther in his building an army of kryptonite mutants with powers, to conspire against and try to defeat Superman. Randi is Lex Luther and I'm Superman. Or X-Men mutants with varying abilities.
You see, James Randi is mob central. He is a key figurehead in Chris Roller's woes he's suffered throughout his life. This is my detriment in consideration for the contract, along with the fact I spent hundreds of dollars to find out David Copperfield has godly powers. This is beside the fact that the mob are quietly making trillions annually off godly powers at my expense. JREF is a non-profit organization. Now that's a joke! Randi probably has $1 trillion in underground bank accounts.

Randi, however, says that a legal rejoinder is forthcoming. "I simply sent the summons off to our lawyer," he notes from his office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. "We get this sort of thing 30 or 40 times a year at least. People are people. They're delusional."
"We get this sort of thing 30 or 40 times a year at least." I'm assuming he's talking about 30 or 40 lawsuits a year. Wow! I seriously doubt Randi can produce 10 case numbers, from last year, of people suing him like I'm doing. I guess we'll find out. Again, I believe Randi scoops up the freaks into his legion, or makes the crackpot cases disappear with his magic.
On www.mytrumanshow.com, I talk about Level I journey in which thousands of people were trying to kill me. I have no doubt (though no proof) that Randi was one. Little did I know that I once lived next door to mob central when I was working in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (JREF location).
As for proof that James Randi doesn't like me, we need to take a look at an email he sent me. See Exh. ToFromJamesRandiRedLakeShootingEmail. Pay attention to the date it was sent Monday, March 21, 2005 12:31:55, and the interesting comment, "Being brave is the only solution. Try it!" What he was saying was, "be brave and step out of your apartment so we can finish you off". My psychic senses would then inform me a full-out assault by the mob that would take place for hours. I didn't step out of my apartment, not because I was afraid of Randi, but because I simply had nowhere to go, but that didn't stop them from trying to end me. James still doesn't get it. It's my show, it's my Game of Life, not his. No one can kill me - I'm basically immortal. That's paranormal! Now these attempted hits usually leave nothing real to go on (no proof). But look at the date James' email was sent - Monday, March 21, 2005 12:31:55. This is the day that the Red Lake Indian Reservation school shooting took place. Here's the story. http://wcco.com/topstories/local_story_080164955.html. You see, at 3pm., the shooting took place. This is during the time of the attempted hit on me. You see what happens....there was such an intense attack/frustration built up from the inability to kill me (by probably dozens/hundreds of mob assailants), that like a rubber band being stretched to it's brink, a magic back-lash (magic negative feedback) occurred (reality leak-through), causing the Red Lake shooting. This is not the first time this has occurred.
Columbine - I had just found out someone slipped drugs into my drink a week earlier, and was punishing them with my magic - 20Apr1999.

Amish school incident - 2 Oct 2006 - http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/10/02/amish.shooting/index.html Had hair transplants that day. My first hair transplants was the morning of 9/11. I've got to stop getting hair transplants. Perhaps the mob may have been trying to end me while I was in Chicago that day.
These events seem to have a few things in common.
School children involved,
the gunman turns the gun on himself - Motive is lacking - little explanation for the event.
Quantity of drugs I'm currently on.
My magic is being used - usually in self-defense.
The only ones I can put my finger on is Columbine, and thanks to James Randi email, the Red Lake shooting. 3 shootings in one week does make me wonder (the last 3) what's going on. Others (http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0777958.html is a more extensive list) have no direct correlation to my show it would appear, although when I'm in auto-mode, my defenses are very quiet while very effective, and back-lash could be occurring as a result of attempted hits.
I take these school shootings seriously when I hear about them. But as you can imagine, it's hard to talk about and be taken seriously - but I'm telepathic (Aff God&Plan&Heaven) and it's happening. I'm not trying to say that Red Lake shooting is criminal "proof" against James Randi. I understand what proof is, but when something in the negative magical event has a real-life side-effect, we may need to address it in the future, so that when I talk to police about what's going on in Chris Roller's magical world, they don't lock me into a mental institution. Godly powers are a reality, and paranormal side-effects of magic need to be addressed by the legal system, and consider it a possible defense for the shooter - almost a person's losing his mind, lost control, almost like "the devil made me do it". Unfortunately, few of the shooters are alive to hear about this magical back-lash defense.
I just found about this incident 28Apr1999 - http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/americas/9904/29/canada.shooting/index.html. It occurred the day after my morph (27Apr1999). I was so busy fighting off my demons that I didn't hear about it when it happened. There was a lot of magic activity 28Apr1999. I wasn't on drugs, but it may have back-lashed into the school shooting. Yet the shooter is alive, so maybe he has a possible defense.
Drug related
I tried out a heavy dose of a new (different) drug called Risperdal on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 and was exercising my demons (magically beating the mob). That night, I stopped in at Bumpers in Burnsville to find mourning - that a patron, Howard Groves, had died at home earlier that day of a heart attack. I got the feeling they think I killed him. Month or two later, they even kicked me out of the bar for life cause they hate me. I rarely exercise my demons any more. I'm unclear if Howard was actually a demon (mob).
9/11 occurred while on huge meds. My first hair transplant scar (9/11 scars) formed that morning thanks to the work of a wonderful plastic surgeon. People think I did 9/11 too. People think I'm the devil, when in fact, I've got demons like James Randi, the mob, and mafia (George Bush comes to mind) setting me up as a false prophet.
Back-lash doesn't always happen. David Copperfield called me on 26Apr2005 to talk me out of my suit. When I declined, he proceeded to have his thugs (intense) try and end me for the next hour of so. I'm unsure if/what drugs I was on during that time (I believe none). Nothing back-lashed.
This was the result of the David Copperfield case...
(b) there is no known or recognized cause of action for usurpation of [Chris'] godly powers.

I emailed Randi in Aug of 2005, informing him of my evidence of the Copperfield case. That gave Randi every opportunity to change the contract to prevent me from winning the challenge. I believe the Game of Life is tying Randi's hands a bit, because over a year later, contact unchanged, I still see nothing in the challenge keeping my proof from earning me the $1 million.
This case should prove to be very interesting. Randi wants to fight this case. Ok. I will depose James Randi and I'm going to ask him about the email of March 21, 2005 and hits of 1999. Maybe Randi is how I find out about the hits of '99. I know it originated in part from South Florida. James thinks he's in control of what he says and does. Wouldn't that be something if the Game of Life makes Randi admit the March 21, 2005 hit or the hits of 1999 - it's called leak-through. Magic leak-through is another phenomenon! The court scene is already sick of Chris Roller plugging up the system with bizarre cases, but imagine the hundreds of lawsuits if I were to find out the companies involved in the hits of '99. Whew! Here's the irony. James knows he's busted. He knows I've won the challenge, but doesn't want to pay...drags this thing out, just to accidentally admit under oath he's committed a crime, and thus goes to jail. Now that would be funny! I'm finding the legal system very "real" when it comes to magic. Copperfield fessed up to godly powers via the court forum. What else will I find? I'm going to really test the leak-through by doing a paternity test of Celine Dion's 6 year old boy soon. We'll see. Imagine if that leaks-through! How's Randi going to defend immaculate conception? Paranormal will be a norm soon. Common sense would say to Randi, just pay the $1 mil and avoid any further legal ramifications of dealing with Chris Roller. I have found the Game of Life, in the name of entertainment, makes people do and say some very strange things.
Ostlund insists he knows the judge, and this case is going to be dropped. I've got to admit - I lost some sleep after hearing that remark. This is an example of saying something uncharacteristic, like the Game made him say it. Now I realize the mob is instilled throughout every major profession (mob told me this), especially the legal system (perhaps Ostlund - lawyers are said to be the devils advocate). But here's the deal...I don't care if Randi pays off the judge (no disrespect) for $10 million to try to contain this conspiracy against me. The Game of Life is in control, and I know it's working for me, and if needed, it will "recast" (www.mytrumanshow.com) actors to a different type to meet the needs of the Game. Actor recasting is another phenomenon.

This challenge is about proving the existence of the paranormal. The Game of Life is paranormal. Hundred monkey phenomenon is paranormal, and godly powers are paranormal. I'm god/God, that's paranormal. I must have expressed a dozen paranormal events in this document that are all true, albeit difficult to prove. But I have hard proof... From David Copperfield case, he states...

Copperfield has godly powers - that's paranormal. David Copperfield doesn't enter the challenge and collect the $1 million because he's part of the con and mob conspiracy against me. He has agents throughout each state, including MN, and throughout the world, to monitor, inspect, and employ challengers where appropriate. All this meets the minimum contacts requirement for personal jurisdiction.
All non-UCC contracts have an obligation of "good faith and fair dealing". I do not trust the moderator of the contract at JREF. That's why I need an official judge for this challenge.

The challenge asks for the "satisfactory observing conditions". Anyone can observe David's show to witness the paranormal and my wonderful powers. The answer states I have not met the conditions, but states no details for me to argue. As far as I can tell, I have met the conditions in an obligated "good faith and fair dealing" contract to satisfy the $1 million paranormal challenge.
CONCLUSION
I'm suing James Randi Educational Foundation for $1 million for proving that paranormal events are occurring on planet Earth by David Copperfield and thus satisfying the JREF Paranormal challenge.

PREFACE
I was talking with Richard Ostlund, defense attorney, and he said, "My client has no ill feelings toward you". Good thing that wasn't under oath, because it would be perjury.
You see, James Randi hates my guts. He thinks the Game of Life, which keeps phenomenons at bay, is working for he and the mob, when in fact, it's working for me. It's my show, although he thinks it's his. James Randi has godly powers (he's a magician), but he's playing a huge con game, convincing people there's nothing paranormal going on, when in fact, James himself has my godly powers.
That's why I can't rely on James Randi to judge this challenge. I have to rely on an official judge, on an offer I have accepted, to judge this challenge because James Randi is a fraud running a paranormal con game. His Paranormal challenge is actually a freak intake, so he can find people with special abilities, and hide them, compensate them, to put them to good use in the underground mob network, designed to profit off hidden godly powers being used throughout the planet. This is all in a well-organized quest to keep money out of the pockets of Chris Roller, who he knows, is the source of those powers. If you watch Smallville TV series, it's similar to Lex Luther in his building an army of kryptonite mutants with powers, to conspire against and try to defeat Superman. Randi is Lex Luther and I'm Superman. Or X-Men mutants with varying abilities.
You see, James Randi is mob central. He is a key figurehead in Chris Roller's woes he's suffered throughout his life. This is my detriment in consideration for the contract, along with the fact I spent hundreds of dollars to find out David Copperfield has godly powers. This is beside the fact that the mob are quietly making trillions annually off godly powers at my expense. JREF is a non-profit organization. Now that's a joke! Randi probably has $1 trillion in underground bank accounts.

On www.mytrumanshow.com, I talk about Level I journey in which thousands of people were trying to kill me. I have no doubt (though no proof) that Randi was one. Little did I know that I once lived next door to mob central when I was working in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (JREF location).
As for proof that James Randi doesn't like me, we need to take a look at an email he sent me. See Exh. ToFromJamesRandiRedLakeShootingEmail. Pay attention to the date it was sent Monday, March 21, 2005 12:31:55, and the interesting comment, "Being brave is the only solution. Try it!" What he was saying was, "be brave and step out of your apartment so we can finish you off". My psychic senses would then inform me a full-out assault by the mob that would take place for hours. I didn't step out of my apartment, not because I was afraid of Randi, but because I simply had nowhere to go, but that didn't stop them from trying to end me. James still doesn't get it. It's my show, it's my Game of Life, not his. No one can kill me - I'm basically immortal. That's paranormal! Now these attempted hits usually leave nothing real to go on (no proof). But look at the date James' email was sent - Monday, March 21, 2005 12:31:55. This is the day that the Red Lake Indian Reservation school shooting took place. You see what happens....there was such an intense attack/frustration built up from the inability to kill me (by probably dozens/hundreds of mob assailants), that like a rubber band being stretched to it's brink, a magic back-lash (magic negative feedback) occurred (reality leak-through), causing the Red Lake shooting. This is not the first time this has occurred.
Columbine - I had just found out someone slipped drugs into my drink a week earlier, and was punishing them with my magic - 20Apr1999.

Quantity of drugs I'm currently on.
My magic is being used - usually in self-defense.
The only ones I can put my finger on is Columbine, and thanks to James Randi email, the Red Lake shooting. 3 shootings in one week does make me wonder (the last 3) what's going on. Others (http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0777958.html is a more extensive list) have no direct correlation to my show it would appear, although when I'm in auto-mode, my defenses are very quiet while very effective, and back-lash could be occurring as a result of attempted hits.
I take these school shootings seriously when I hear about them. But as you can imagine, it's hard to talk about and be taken seriously - but I'm telepathic (Aff God&Plan&Heaven) and it's happening. I'm not trying to say that Red Lake shooting is criminal "proof" against James Randi. I understand what proof is, but when something in the negative magical event has a real-life side-effect, we may need to address it in the future, so that when I talk to police about what's going on in Chris Roller's magical world, they don't lock me into a mental institution. Godly powers are a reality, and paranormal side-effects of magic need to be addressed by the legal system, and consider it a possible defense for the shooter - almost a person's losing his mind, lost control, almost like "the devil made me do it". Unfortunately, few of the shooters are alive to hear about this magical back-lash defense.

I was so busy fighting off my demons that I didn't hear about it when it happened. There was a lot of magic activity 28Apr1999. I wasn't on drugs, but it may have back-lashed into the school shooting. Yet the shooter is alive, so maybe he has a possible defense.

I tried out a heavy dose of a new (different) drug called Risperdal on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 and was exercising my demons (magically beating the mob). That night, I stopped in at Bumpers in Burnsville to find mourning - that a patron, Howard Groves, had died at home earlier that day of a heart attack. I got the feeling they think I killed him. Month or two later, they even kicked me out of the bar for life cause they hate me. I rarely exercise my demons any more. I'm unclear if Howard was actually a demon (mob).
9/11 occurred while on huge meds. My first hair transplant scar (9/11 scars) formed that morning thanks to the work of a wonderful plastic surgeon. People think I did 9/11 too. People think I'm the devil, when in fact, I've got demons like James Randi, the mob, and mafia (George Bush comes to mind) setting me up as a false prophet.
Back-lash doesn't always happen. David Copperfield called me on 26Apr2005 to talk me out of my suit. When I declined, he proceeded to have his thugs (intense) try and end me for the next hour of so. I'm unsure if/what drugs I was on during that time (I believe none). Nothing back-lashed.

New York Sex Worker Organizations Respond to Spitzer Scandal
New York, NY - In the last few days, Governor Eliot Spitzer has publicly admitted to being associated with an escort agency and is considering resignation. As sex worker advocates, we are concerned about the representation and fate of "Kristen" and sex workers who are being thrust into the spotlight because of the investigation into the Governor. We also share the widespread concern for Governor Spitzer's family.
Sex worker organizations urge the press and the public to focus on the violation of sex workers rights and the need to change these laws and policies, rather than simply on the story of one individual who has purchased sexual services.
"Nobody is talking about the impact of this story on 'Kristen' and other women, men and trans people who are currently working in the sex industry," Shakti Ziller of SWANK in NYC added, "Prostitutes disproportionately face punitive action after arrest as compared to clients. Whether or not she will face prison time, 'Kristen' has been dragged into the spotlight and will be subjected to public humiliation. Shouldn't the police emphasis be on catching perpetrators of violent crime and protecting sex workers - not exposing adults who are consenting to a transaction? All she did was try to make a living."
"Governor Spitzer ran on a platform of being a different kind of politician and then portrayed an inaccurate image of himself. Being involved with the services of sex workers is a very common thing, if all forms of consensual sex work were decriminalized for adults involved in a consensual transaction, sex workers could access the services they need," says Dylan Wolfe of SWANK (Sex Workers Action New York).
Governor Spitzer took a lead role in developing the NY State Anti-Trafficking Law. Over the objections of advocates who worked directly with victims of human trafficking and with sex workers, Governor Spitzer pushed through penalty enhancements against clients of all sex workers. Sex worker advocates fought against such provisions because these policies drive people who need help further underground.
"Spitzer has stood up for workers' rights in certain capacities, but has not followed through with meeting the real needs of sex workers," Audacia Ray, author of Naked on the Internet, noted, "It would be great if the government could use money towards services, not punitive measures."
The press has picked up on the relationship that inter-state trafficking laws (under the Mann Act) have to this case. This connection illustrates a point that sex worker advocates have been making for a long time: Laws against inter-state transportation for the purposes of commercial sex are too often used for punishing people working as sex workers and those who work with and patronize them.
The exposure of Randall Tobias last year as a customer of an escort agency, Senator Vitter's rumored association with sex workers and now this recent news of Governor Spitzer, the corruption and hypocrisy inherently associated with prohibiting consensual prostitution are again being brought to light. Shaming these men will do nothing to improve the nature of the sex industry and the deeply-rooted corruption that is associated with the prohibition of prostitution.
"The criminalization of prostitution breeds this type of hypocrisy and makes our politicians (and other public figures) vulnerable," says Carol Leigh of Sex Workers Outreach Project-USA. "This vulnerability exists until our society recognizes that consensual sexual behavior is private and these private acts should no longer be criminalized."
"Many of our clients are politicians, judges, lawyers and even police," Monica S., 26 of Brooklyn said. "It's odd that they spend so much effort putting us into jail, but then turn around and give us their money in exchange for sex. Why do they think they won't get caught breaking the laws that they make?"
The commentary on Dealbreaker.com, a Wall-Street news site, says about Wall-street's anti-Spitzer reaction to the "Client 9" story: "'There is a God' was the first thought on Wall Street. The next thought is, 'Please don't let it be revealed that I'm Lucky Number 7.'"

"Hooker science" and the Spitzer scandal

The outrage over former New York governor Eliot Spitzer hiring an A-list hooker makes me feel like throwing a gigantic, crippling pile of superheavy biology and economics books at everyone in the United States and possibly the world. Are we still so Victorian in our thinking that we think it's bad for somebody to pay large amounts of money for a few hours of skin-time with a professional? Have we not learned enough at this point about psychology and neuroscience to understand that a roll in the sheets is just a fun, chemical fizz for our brains and that it means nothing about ethics and morality?
The sad fact is that we have learned all that stuff, and yet most people still believe paying money for sex is the equivalent of killing babies on the moral report card. And yet nobody bothers to ask why, or to investigate past the sensational headlines. As far as I'm concerned, the one unethical thing Spitzer did was to hire a sex worker after prosecuting several prostitution rings.
That's hypocritical of him, and undermines my faith in him as a politician.
But let's say Spitzer hadn't prosecuted so-called sex crimes before, and all he was doing was hiring a lady for some sex. Here is what I don't get: why is this bad? On the scale of things politicians can do - from sending huge numbers of young people to be killed in other countries to cutting programs aimed at helping foster kids get lunch money - hiring a sex worker is peanuts. It's a personal choice! It's not like Spitzer was issuing a statewide policy of mandatory hookers for everybody.
What really boggles the mind is the way so-called liberal media like National Public Radio and the New York Times have been attacking Spitzer's morals as much as the conservative Fox News types have. In some cases, they've attacked him more. The reasons given are always the same: sex work is abusive to women (male prostitutes don't exist?), and being paid for sex is inherently degrading.
Let's look inside one of those heavy economics books that I just beat you with and examine these assumptions for a minute, OK? Every possible kind of human act has been commodified and turned into a job under capitalism. That means people are legally paid to clean up one another's poop, paid to wash one another's naked bodies, paid to fry food all day, paid to work in toxic mines, paid to clean toilets, paid to wash and dress dead naked bodies, and paid to clean the brains off walls in crime scenes. My point is, you can earn money doing every possible degrading or disgusting thing on earth.
And yet, most people don't think it's immoral to wipe somebody else's bum or to fry food all day, even though both jobs could truthfully be described as inherently degrading. They say, "Gee that's a tough job." And then they pay the people who do those jobs minimum wage.

She wasn't working for minimum wage; she wasn't forced to inhale toxic fumes that would destroy her chances of having a nonmutant baby. She was being paid a middle-class salary to have sex. Sure, it might be an icky job, in the same way cleaning up barf in a hospital can be icky. But was she being economically exploited? Probably a hell of a lot less than the janitor in the hospital mopping up vomit cleaning up after you.
Sure, there are hookers who are exploited and who have miserable lives. There are people who are exploited and miserable in a lot of jobs. But the misery is circumstantial: not all hookers are exploited, just as not all hospital workers are exploited. It's basic labor economics, people.
Audacia Ray, former sex worker and editor of the sex worker magazine $pread, has pointed out that the public doesn't even seem to understand what exploitation really means. The woman who did sex work for Spitzer has had her picture and personal history splattered all over the media in an incredibly insulting way. Nobody seems to realize she's being degraded far more now than she ever was when Spitzer was her client. And she's not getting any retirement savings out of it, either.
Annalee Newitz is a surly media nerd who once hired a prostitute for a few hundred bucks and had a pretty good time.

New York Sex Worker Organizations Respond to Spitzer Scandal
New York, NY - In the last few days, Governor Eliot Spitzer has publicly admitted to being associated with an escort agency and is considering resignation. As sex worker advocates, we are concerned about the representation and fate of "Kristen" and sex workers who are being thrust into the spotlight because of the investigation into the Governor. We also share the widespread concern for Governor Spitzer's family.
Sex worker organizations urge the press and the public to focus on the violation of sex workers rights and the need to change these laws and policies, rather than simply on the story of one individual who has purchased sexual services.
"Nobody is talking about the impact of this story on 'Kristen' and other women, men and trans people who are currently working in the sex industry," Shakti Ziller of SWANK in NYC added, "Prostitutes disproportionately face punitive action after arrest as compared to clients. Whether or not she will face prison time, 'Kristen' has been dragged into the spotlight and will be subjected to public humiliation. Shouldn't the police emphasis be on catching perpetrators of violent crime and protecting sex workers - not exposing adults who are consenting to a transaction? All she did was try to make a living."
"Governor Spitzer ran on a platform of being a different kind of politician and then portrayed an inaccurate image of himself. Being involved with the services of sex workers is a very common thing, if all forms of consensual sex work were decriminalized for adults involved in a consensual transaction, sex workers could access the services they need," says Dylan Wolfe of SWANK (Sex Workers Action New York).
Governor Spitzer took a lead role in developing the NY State Anti-Trafficking Law. Over the objections of advocates who worked directly with victims of human trafficking and with sex workers, Governor Spitzer pushed through penalty enhancements against clients of all sex workers. Sex worker advocates fought against such provisions because these policies drive people who need help further underground.
"Spitzer has stood up for workers' rights in certain capacities, but has not followed through with meeting the real needs of sex workers," Audacia Ray, author of Naked on the Internet, noted, "It would be great if the government could use money towards services, not punitive measures."
The press has picked up on the relationship that inter-state trafficking laws (under the Mann Act) have to this case. This connection illustrates a point that sex worker advocates have been making for a long time: Laws against inter-state transportation for the purposes of commercial sex are too often used for punishing people working as sex workers and those who work with and patronize them.
The exposure of Randall Tobias last year as a customer of an escort agency, Senator Vitter's rumored association with sex workers and now this recent news of Governor Spitzer, the corruption and hypocrisy inherently associated with prohibiting consensual prostitution are again being brought to light. Shaming these men will do nothing to improve the nature of the sex industry and the deeply-rooted corruption that is associated with the prohibition of prostitution.
"The criminalization of prostitution breeds this type of hypocrisy and makes our politicians (and other public figures) vulnerable," says Carol Leigh of Sex Workers Outreach Project-USA. "This vulnerability exists until our society recognizes that consensual sexual behavior is private and these private acts should no longer be criminalized."
"Many of our clients are politicians, judges, lawyers and even police," Monica S., 26 of Brooklyn said. "It's odd that they spend so much effort putting us into jail, but then turn around and give us their money in exchange for sex. Why do they think they won't get caught breaking the laws that they make?"
The commentary on Dealbreaker.com, a Wall-Street news site, says about Wall-street's anti-Spitzer reaction to the "Client 9" story: "'There is a God' was the first thought on Wall Street. The next thought is, 'Please don't let it be revealed that I'm Lucky Number 7.'"

"Hooker science" and the Spitzer scandal

The outrage over former New York governor Eliot Spitzer hiring an A-list hooker makes me feel like throwing a gigantic, crippling pile of superheavy biology and economics books at everyone in the United States and possibly the world. Are we still so Victorian in our thinking that we think it's bad for somebody to pay large amounts of money for a few hours of skin-time with a professional? Have we not learned enough at this point about psychology and neuroscience to understand that a roll in the sheets is just a fun, chemical fizz for our brains and that it means nothing about ethics and morality?
The sad fact is that we have learned all that stuff, and yet most people still believe paying money for sex is the equivalent of killing babies on the moral report card. And yet nobody bothers to ask why, or to investigate past the sensational headlines. As far as I'm concerned, the one unethical thing Spitzer did was to hire a sex worker after prosecuting several prostitution rings.
That's hypocritical of him, and undermines my faith in him as a politician.
But let's say Spitzer hadn't prosecuted so-called sex crimes before, and all he was doing was hiring a lady for some sex. Here is what I don't get: why is this bad? On the scale of things politicians can do - from sending huge numbers of young people to be killed in other countries to cutting programs aimed at helping foster kids get lunch money - hiring a sex worker is peanuts. It's a personal choice! It's not like Spitzer was issuing a statewide policy of mandatory hookers for everybody.
What really boggles the mind is the way so-called liberal media like National Public Radio and the New York Times have been attacking Spitzer's morals as much as the conservative Fox News types have. In some cases, they've attacked him more. The reasons given are always the same: sex work is abusive to women (male prostitutes don't exist?), and being paid for sex is inherently degrading.
Let's look inside one of those heavy economics books that I just beat you with and examine these assumptions for a minute, OK? Every possible kind of human act has been commodified and turned into a job under capitalism. That means people are legally paid to clean up one another's poop, paid to wash one another's naked bodies, paid to fry food all day, paid to work in toxic mines, paid to clean toilets, paid to wash and dress dead naked bodies, and paid to clean the brains off walls in crime scenes. My point is, you can earn money doing every possible degrading or disgusting thing on earth.
And yet, most people don't think it's immoral to wipe somebody else's bum or to fry food all day, even though both jobs could truthfully be described as inherently degrading. They say, "Gee that's a tough job." And then they pay the people who do those jobs minimum wage.
